Sweet Owen is HOME!

We are finally home. After 7 weeks in the NICU, we are HOME! I still can't believe it. After driving back and forth 30 minutes each way every single day during that time, it is so strange to just be able to stay home with our sweet Owen. The first week that he was home was a little rough. He has his nights and days completely flip-flopped and would cry all night long in his bed. I decided that I had to switch mine too for a while in order to keep my sanity. He is still on his oxygen and has an apnea monitor on at all times. We are hoping he will wean off of the oxygen soon and have one less attachment! He is starting to get very mad at his nasal cannula and pulls it out all of the time. So really he is already weaning himself. He is quite feisty! He has been through a lot, bless his heart. It is getting easier and easier every day as we get our routine down. Jordan is now off for a month!! We are packing for our move in less than TWO weeks to Knoxville! Jordan will finish up his medical school clinicals there. We are so excited to move back closer to family. We definitely need the help! So, between Owen coming home and preparing for our move, we are super busy! We will miss our friends in Memphis, but as for the city- we are SO ready to leave it behind. East Tennessee here we come!!! :)

Exciting Times

Wow, I can't believe I am just getting to make a new post! Life has been extra busy in the past few months. We have a lot going on and a LOT of changes coming up. Jordan has recently started his 3rd year of medical school, I couldn't be prouder of him! He passed his boards with flying colors and can now relax and enjoy learning hands on. He is such a smarty,.. I could NOT do what he does. He is amazing! He is now delivering babies at the hospital and he loves it! He wouldn't want to do it forever, but for now he is really enjoying it!

We are very excited to be expecting our first little bundle of joy in September, a precious baby boy! I am 23 weeks pregnant and feeling great! I have been so lucky..so far! We can't wait to hold him in our arms and love on him! I feel his little kicks all day and night and they are just so sweet! Jordan says he is going to be a professional soccer player and that he will be enrolling him in soccer as soon as he is three years old! From what the ultrasound tech says "he moves REALLY well", so I guess he will be good at something in sports!

I guess those are the main updates on our lives for now.. we are very blessed!
